ESD and fire-resistant pallets

Electrostatic hazards are a difficult problem to solve and, above all, a nuisance to those responsible for the production process.

The conductive pallet offers all the benefits of a robust plastic pallet and provides effective protection against electrostatic discharge (ESD) hazards.

The pallet is made from a blend of HDPE and a conductive additive. Thanks to its technical characteristics, it is used in the electronics industry, the pharmaceutical industry and, above all, in all working environments where products are manufactured and stored that can cause explosive mixtures in the presence of electrostatic discharges.

Fire-resistant pallets Self-extinguishing

Fire behaviour often needs to be checked. In the quest for ever safer environments, even in technical or mechanical details, self-extinguishing materials are increasingly required.

Additives are added to the materials used to make plastics fire resistant.

Depending on the type of additive, the degree of self-extinguishing material is determined, which can be V0, V1, V2.

This classification is based on measuring the time, in which a vertically fixed plastic sample of a specified thickness (3-6 mm) continues to burn after being exposed to a flame from a Bunsen burner for 10 seconds.

The material is classified as V.0 if the flame extinguishes within 10 seconds.

The material is classified as V.1 When the flame extinguishes within 30 seconds without dripping material.

The material is classified as V.2 if the flame extinguishes within 30 seconds with dripping material.
